Depending on your application requirements for
design, material, and quantity, we can produce molded rubber gaskets
utilizing the following processes:
• Injection Molding features
the fastest cycle times, provides the maximum product consistency,
and produces molded rubber parts that exhibit a virtual flash-free
finish eliminating the need for additional trim work.
• Transfer Molding features
shorter cycle times and better product consistency than compression
molding and is the ideal process for rubber-to-metal molded parts.
• Compression Molding features
the lowest mold costs, generates the least amount of throw
away material for a lower cost per part, and is the preferred
way to produce large molded rubber products.
Although the rubber
molding methods listed above are similar in that they all make
use of heat and pressure to cure molded parts, they differ in some
significant ways. The design engineers at Atlantic Gaskets will
be happy to help you determine the one that will produce your custom
molded rubber gaskets within your budget and by your deadline.
