Our relationship with Fibreflex Packing & Mfg. Co., a leading material manufacturer, allows us to supply our customers with an excellent high-grade vetgetable/plant fibre sheet packing referred to as Detroiter, which is efficiently saturated with a glue-glycerine impregnant and is rendered insoluable by means of a tanning agent (formaldehyde) to create a strong, flexible packing with properties that are retained during proper storage and in use. From engineering, design and tooling, to die-cutting, fabrication, laminating, and slitting, we have the in-house capabilities to meet the tightest tolerances and the highest quality standards, regardless of end product or application.

• Does your end application require compliance to military, federal or industrial specifications? If so, Atlantic Gasket’s Vegetable/Plant Fibre is certified to meet the following specifications: HH-P-96G Type 1, MIL-G-12803A, MIL-G-12803B, MIL-G-12803C, ASTM D 1170, ASTM F 104 and SAE J90.  If you require a vegetable / plant fibre material that is UL listed, Detroiter has a listing number of MH 4649 (763N) by Underwriters’ Laboratory.  Click here for more specification information.
• Does your end product require specific thickness? At Atlantic Gasket, our Vegetable/Plant Fibre material is available in a variety of thicknesses, including .006”, .010”, .015”, .021”, .031”, .046”, .062”, .094”, .125”, .187”, and .250”.  This material can be supplied in rolls 36” and 40” wide or we would be glad to die cut or slit to your exact requirements.  If needed, we can supply this material with an adhesive backing.
