AG-21236 Viton
The AG-21236 Viton product is a 60 durometer fluoroelastomer that is acid-resistant and is an outstanding gasket material. As a Viton product, AG-21236 provides resistance to a wide variety of environmental and chemical factors such as acids, ozone/weather, fuels, petroleum oils, animal/vegetable oils, lubricants, chlorinated solvents, hot water/low pressure steam, and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. This material provides a service temperature of -10°F to 400°F/500°F.
Like all fluoroelastomers, AG-21236 60 durometer Viton also offers resistance to extreme temperatures, extremely low permeability, a great compression set, resistance to mold/fungus, and serviceable electrical properties in low frequency, low voltage applications. This material is an excellent choice for challenging and durable sealing and gasket applications and is often used in the chemical industry, automotive industry, fluid power industry, and aerospace industry.
However, fluoroelastomers are not recommended to service in alkyl phosphate esters, certain amines, ketones, hydrofluoric or chlorosulphonic acids, hot anhydrous, and low molecular weight esters and ethers.
This 60 durometer Viton fluoroelastomer product is available in thicknesses of 1/16”, 1/8”, and ¼” in rolls of 36” or 48” width with a light fabric impression finish. Like our other rubber products, we can supply AG-21236 60 durometer Viton as converted die-cut and waterjet-cut custom gaskets and also slit to the width of your exact needs for stripping. With the latest computer-controlled technology, Atlantic Gasket is able to produce custom Viton rubber gaskets from as small as 1/16" dia. up to 51" dia. and any shape or size in between.
