The AG-21249 Viton product is a 75 durometer specification grade black Viton that meets the requirements for MIL-R-25897, Type II, Class 1; AMS-7278D, Grade 75, and ASTM D-2000, 2HK 714. As a Viton product, AG-21249 provides resistance to a wide variety of environmental and chemical factors such as lubricants, ozone/weather, chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils, fuels, animal/vegetable oils, and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. This material provides a service temperature of -10°F to 400°F/500°F.
Like all fluoroelastomers, AG-21249 75 durometer specification grade Viton also offers resistance to resistance to mold/fungus, extreme temperatures, a great compression set, extremely low permeability and serviceable electrical properties in low frequency, low voltage applications. This material is an excellent choice for challenging and durable sealing and gasket applications and is often used in the chemical industry, automotive industry, fluid power industry, and aerospace industry.
However, AG-21249 75 durometer specification grade Viton is not recommended for applications involving hot water and steam or acids. Our AG-21236 Viton product, however, provides resistance to acids, hot water, and steam. Fluoroelastomers are not recommended to service in alkyl phosphate esters, ketones, low molecular weight esters and ethers, certain amines, hydrofluoric or chlorosulphonic acids, and hot anhydrous.
This 75 durometer specification grade black Viton fluoroelastomer product is available in thicknesses of 1/32”, 1/16”, 1/8”, 3/16”, & 1/4” and in a 36” wide roll with a smooth finish. Like our other rubber products, we can supply AG-21249 75 durometer Viton as converted waterjet-cut and die-cut custom gaskets and also produce your exact requirements for stripping by slitting the material. With the latest computer-controlled technology, Atlantic Gasket is able to manufacture custom Viton rubber gaskets from as small as 1/16" dia. up to 51" dia. and any shape or size in between.
