AG-21250 Viton
The AG-21250 Viton product is a 55 durometer premium grade black Viton that is an outstanding gasket material. As a Viton product, AG-21250 provides resistance to a wide variety of environmental and chemical factors such as petroleum oils, fuels, animal/vegetable oils, lubricants, ozone/weather, and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. This material provides a service temperature of -10°F to 400°F/500°F.
Like all fluoroelastomers, AG-21250 55 durometer premium grade Viton also offers resistance to extreme temperatures, resistance to mold/fungus, extremely low permeability, a great compression set, and serviceable electrical properties in low frequency, low voltage applications. This material is an excellent choice for challenging and durable sealing and gasket applications and is often used in the chemical industry, automotive industry, fluid power industry, and aerospace industry.
However, AG-21250 55 durometer premium grade Viton is not recommended for applications involving hot water and steam or acids. Our AG-21236 Viton product, however, provides resistance to acids, hot water, and steam. Fluoroelastomers are not recommended to service in alkyl phosphate esters, hydrofluoric or chlorosulphonic acids, hot anhydrous, certain amines, ketones, and low molecular weight esters and ethers.
This 55 durometer premium grade black Viton fluoroelastomer product is available in thicknesses of 1/32”, 1/16”, 1/8”, 3/16”, & 1/4” and in a 36” or 48” wide roll with a light fabric impression finish. Like our other rubber products, we can supply AG-21250 55 durometer Viton as converted waterjet-cut and die-cut custom gaskets and also slit to the width of your exact requirements for stripping. With the latest computer-controlled technology, Atlantic Gasket is able to manufacture custom Viton rubber gaskets from as small as 1/16" dia. up to 51" dia. and any size or shape in between.

The Viton properties above were obtained on molded 0.080” thick ASTM samples, but they should not be used to set minimum requirements for Quality Control Specification.
RESTRICTIONS: Although Fluoroelastomers are an excellent gasket and sealing material and are resistant to many chemicals and oils, Fluoroelastomers are not recommended for applications that will be exposed to nitro hydrocarbons, low molecular weight esters (such as ethyl acetate), or ketones.
