Typical Properties of Style AG-21339 75 Durometer Fluoroelastomer

AG-21339 Fluoroelastomer

The AG-21339 fluoroelastomer product is a 75 durometer specification grade fluoroelastomer that meets the requirements set out for MIL-R-83248-C, Type II, Class I and is an outstanding gasket material.  As a fluoroelastomer product, AG-21339 provides resistance to a wide variety of environmental and chemical factors such as petroleum oils, fuels, animal/vegetable oils, lubricants, chlorinated solvents, ozone/weather, and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons.  This material provides a service temperature of -10°F to 400°F/500°F.

Like all fluoroelastomers, AG-21339 75 durometer specification grade fluoroelastomer also offers serviceable electrical properties in low frequency, low voltage applications, a great compression set, extremely low permeability, resistance to mold/fungus, and resistance to extreme temperatures.  This material is an excellent choice for challenging and durable sealing and gasket applications and is often used in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, fluid power industry, and chemical industry.

However, AG-21339 75 durometer specification grade fluoroelastomer is not recommended for applications involving hot water and steam or acids.  Our AG-21236 Viton product, however, provides resistance to acids, hot water, and steam.  Fluoroelastomers are not recommended to service in certain amines, hydrofluoric or chlorosulphonic acids, ketones, alkyl phosphate esters, hot anhydrous, and low molecular weight esters and ethers.

This 75 durometer specification grade fluoroelastomer product is available in thicknesses of 1/32”, 1/16”, & 1/8” and in a 36” wide roll with a light fabric impression finish.  Like our other rubber products, we can supply AG-21339 75 durometer fluoroelastomer as converted die-cut and waterjet-cut custom gaskets and also cut to the width of your exact requirements for stripping and slitting.  With the latest computer-controlled technology, Atlantic Gasket is able to manufacture custom fluoroelastomer rubber gaskets from as small as 1/16" diameter up to 51" diameter and any shape or size in between.

Specifications: Premium Grade

The fluoroelastomer properties above were obtained on molded 0.080” thick ASTM samples, but they should not be used to set minimum requirements for Quality Control Specification.

RESTRICTIONS: Although Fluoroelastomers are an excellent gasket and sealing material and are resistant to many chemicals and oils, Fluoroelastomers are not recommended for applications that will be exposed to nitro hydrocarbons, low molecular weight esters (such as ethyl acetate), or ketones.
