Style AG2139 is a closed cell Viton sponge (Fluoroelastomer) that is a compressible gasket and sealing material which is designed for extreme conditions. Closed cell Viton is an excellent gasket material for applications that will be exposed to temperatures as low as -10°F (-23°C) and as high as 400°F (204°C). This material is ideal for sealing acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, oil, fuel and both vegetable and animal oil over a broad range of temperatures.
Closed cell Viton sponge is produced as a molded sheet and is supplied with a skin on all sides. The minimum thickness is 1/8" and is supplied in a 28" wide x 56" long sheet. Our Viton closed cell sponge is also manufactured ¼", 3/8" and ½" thick and the standard sheet size at these thickness is 30" wide x 56" long. Please take advantage of our fabricating capabilities and allow Atlantic Gasket to supply closed cell Viton sponge slit to rolls as narrow as ¼" up to 30" wide or we would be glad to die-cut or waterjet cut custom gaskets and seals to your exact requirements. To assist in the assembly process, closed cell Viton can be supplied with a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing.
