Thermoseal C-4409 is a high performance compressed fiber gasket material with a galvanized low carbon steel insert. C-4409 is manufactured using synthetic fibers with a Nitrile binder system and is an excellent gasket material for sealing liquids in high stress and high temperature applications seeing temperatures up to 800°F (426°C) and for sealing gases and steam in temperatures up to 550°F (287°C) . This material is typically used as a gasket or seal for compressors, pipe flanges, manways, pumps and valves and is often used in place of a spiral wound gasket.
Thermoseal C-4409 is available in sheets 60" x 60" square in the following thicknesses: 3/64", 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8". If requested, Atlantic Gasket will gladly die-cut or waterjet cut parts to your exact requirements and can ship finished parts the same day if needed.
