Style AG-2889 silicone rubber is a 50 durometer silicone that meets the necessary requirements of the AMS 3345 specification set out by the SAE. This rubber is a silicone specialized in aerospace and military applications and is available in a black, gray, or brick red color. It is also resistant to aircraft piston engine oil and deterioration by weathering. AMS 3345, and therefore AG-2889 silicone, covers silicone rubbers in tubing, strips, sheets, molded shapes, and extrusions.
Atlantic Gasket offers many silicone and fluorosilicone rubbers that meet other AMS specifications, like AG-2889 meeting AMS 3345. This list includes AMS 3301, AMS 3302, AMS 3303, AMS 3304, AMS 3305, AMS 3325, and AMS 3326. AG-2889 50 durometer silicone rubber is available in sheet stock, slit into stripping, or cut to size via die-cutting, waterjet-cutting, or knife-cutting (flash-cutting) in a natural color that can be pigmented as necessary.
