Description: Style AG40FDA is a 40 durometer FDA grade silicone gasketing material, which is designed for use in gasketing applications where food may be present. 40 durometer FDA grade silicone is manufactured with FDA approved ingredients listed in CFR 117.2600, an FDA regulation which involves rubber articles intended for repeated use in contact with food. Style AG40FDA has a service temperature of -80°F to +450°F, with the ability to withstand +500°F on an intermittent basis. The material takes a low compression set and offers excellent UV and ozone resistance. 40 durometer FDA grade silicone is a non-toxic and chemically inert silicone material, which is low volatile, peroxide free, and does not discolor over time.
Atlantic Gasket’s FDA grade silicone gasketing material is available in a wide range of durometers, ranging from as soft as 30 Durometer (AG30FDA) to as hard as 70 Durometer (AG70FDA) with standard durometers in between. Style AG40FDA is supplied white in color. 40 durometer FDA grade silicone can be converted into rolls ranging from as narrow as 1/4" wide, up to 36" in width. Atlantic Gasket has the capability to supply 40 durometer FDA grade silicone without adhesive or with either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. AG40FDA can be manufactured to standard and custom thicknesses. Atlantic Gasket has the capacity to fabricate 40 durometer FDA grade silicone by die-cutting or waterjet cutting to meet your design and production requirements.
