AGMED70 is a 70 durometer translucent medical grade silicone rubber which is designed for gasket applications requiring a low compression set, is platinum-cured, and has a resistance to extreme temperatures. This non-toxic and FDA-approved silicone is tested to and compliant with the requirements of USP Class VI, and AGMED70 also meets FDA Title 21 CFR 177.2600, FDA Title 21 CFR 177.2600, ASTM D2000, UL94B, and is animal derived component free. Atlantic Gasket’s AGMED70 endures a temperature range of -80°F (-62°C) to 450°F (232°C) or 480°F (248°C) intermittently and also has excellent resistance to oxidation, UV, ozone, and weathering.
AGMED70 translucent medical grade silicone, offered by Atlantic Gasket, comes in a variety of durometers, thicknesses, colors, and widths. This silicone is 70 durometer but is also available at 40 durometer (AGMED40), 50 durometer (AGMED50), and 60 durometer (AGMED60) along with widths of up to 54" and thicknesses from .010" to .500". AGMED70 has the ability to have a pressure sensitive adhesive laminated to this silicone rubber. Atlantic Gasket has the ability to slit AGMED70 to widths as narrow as ¼" or as wide as 36" – 60". The silicone rubber can be cut to size for custom parts either using our high-speed die-cutting process or our high-precision waterjet-cutting machine for production quantities and/or prototype requirements.
