Nitrile Gaskets

Atlantic Gasket Corporation, a leading rubber gasket manufacturer, produces custom rubber Nitrile gaskets of the highest sealing quality and reliability from a wide range of rubber Nitrile grades. All Nitrile grades at Atlantic Gasket are available as thin as .016" thick up to .250" thick and come in a measure of hardness (durometer) as soft as 40 durometer and as hard as 90 durometer. We offer Nitrile grades in continuous rolls that are 36", 48", or 54" wide or we can custom die-cut or waterjet cut each grade to your exact requirements. Nitrile, often referred to as Buna-N or NBR, serves as an ideal rubber gasket material for applications involving oils and solvents.

Features of Atlantic Gasket's Custom Nitrile (Buna-N) Rubber Gaskets and Seals:
  • Excellent resistance to oils, solvents, and fuels
  • Good resilience in hot and cold temperature extremes
  • Good abrasion resistance
  • Good impermeability to gases

Atlantic Gasket's Available Nitrile Grades

Commercial Grade Nitrile

With moderate oil resistance, our commercial grade of Nitrile is a blend of 70% Nitrile and 30% SBR. This cost-efficient blend accommodates less demanding applications, which require resistance to oils, solvents, and fuels.

  • 40 Durometer Commercial Grade Nitrile
  • 50 Durometer Commercial Grade Nitrile
  • 60 Durometer Commercial Grade Nitrile
  • 70 Durometer Commercial Grade Nitrile
  • 80 Durometer Commercial Grade Nitrile

Mid-Grade Nitrile

Mid-Grade Nitrile - ls an excellent grade of Nitrile rubber which falls between our Commercial grade and Premium grade Nitriles as far as oil resistance and price. This material works well as a gasket in sealing oil and solvents in applications that can range from -30°F to + 200°F.

  • 40 Durometer Mid-Grade Nitrile
  • 50 Durometer Mid-Grade Nitrile
  • 60 Durometer Mid-Grade Nitrile
  • 70 Durometer Mid-Grade Nitrile
  • 80 Durometer Mid-Grade Nitrile

Premium Grade Nitrile

This is our premium grade Nitrile and consists of 100% Nitrile rubber. This grade of Nitrile is the optimum choice when your application requires a gasket material that exhibits excellent resistance to oils, solvents, and fuels.

  • 40 Durometer Premium Grade Nitrile
  • 50 Durometer Premium Grade Nitrile
  • 60 Durometer Premium Grade Nitrile
  • 70 Durometer Premium Grade Nitrile
  • 80 Durometer Premium Grade Nitrile
  • 90 Durometer Premium Grade Nitrile

FDA Nitrile

Made from FDA approved ingredients per CFR 177.2600 (off-white color), FDA Nitrile is a superior, long-life rubber that has good resistance to abrasion.

  • 45 Durometer FDA Grade Nitrile
  • 55 Durometer FDA Grade Nitrile
  • 65 Durometer FDA Grade Nitrile
  • 80 Durometer FDA Grade Nitrile

Bio-Diesel Nitrile

Alternative Fuel Grade Nitrile for Biodiesel & E85- our 60 and 70 durometer alternative fuel Nitrile compounds are designed for applications involving Biodiesel B20 and B100 and Alcohol fuel E85. Biodiesel B100 contains no petroleum, while B20 is 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.

  • 60 Durometer Bio-Diesel Grade Nitrile
  • 70 Durometer Bio-Diesel Grade Nitrile

Transformer Oil Nitrile

Transformer Oil Grade Nitrile - designed specifically for use with transformer oil, our Transformer Oil Nitrile compounds meet industry specifications such as GE A12C11E7 and ASTM D 2000 Specification 5BG 620 A14 B14 EO34 and 5BG 720 A14 B14 EO34.

  • 60 Durometer Transformer Grade Nitrile
  • 70 Durometer Transformer Grade Nitrile

By investing in advanced computer-controlled equipment, Atlantic Gaskets is able to manufacture custom die cut and waterjet cut rubber Nitrile gaskets as small as 1/16" dia. up to 51" dia. and any size or shape in between. Upon request, Nitrile rubber gaskets and seals can be custom manufactured at Atlantic Gasket with an acrylic adhesive backing.
