AG-613 Series Nickel Graphite Filled Silicone

The AG-613 Series is a group of electrically-conductive nickel-coated graphite-filled shielding gasket silicones that range in durometer from 30 to 70 which protect electronic equipment and produce shielding against radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). The AG-613 Series is made up of nickel-coated graphite-filled silicones that are EMI/RFI solutions of the smaller, light-weight, and thinner variety compared to metal-filled silicones containing silver-coated particles. They provide great volume resistivity of 0.03 to 0.04 ohm/cm, while the 30 durometer silicone tests at 1.5 ohm/cm, and a shielding effectiveness of 115 dB - 125 dB.

The AG-613 Series is similar to our other electrically-conductive nickel-coated graphite-filled products that shield against RFI and EMI such as our other AG-613 electrically-conductive shielding gasket silicones and fluorosilicones. This nickel-coated graphite-filled silicone can be converted into die-cut and water jet cut parts or provided as sheets of different sizes. The AG-613 Series is available in both sheets of varying sizes and continuous rolls depending on the durometer and thickness needed.

The chart below compares the electrically-conductive nickel-coated graphite-filled silicone to other filler materials that act as electromagnetic interference (EMI)/radio frequency interference (RFI) shielding. We offer the nickel-coated graphite filler in both silicone and fluorosilicone, and though both silicone and fluorosilicone have a wide temperature range, fluorosilicone also protects against harsh environmental factors with its solvent and fuel resistance. When compared to other fillers such as silver-coated copper, silver-coated glass, and silver-coated aluminum, nickel-coated graphite has a conductivity that is comparable to its silver counterparts.

Filler Conductivity Typical Volume
Resistivity (V.R.)
Cost
Silver Extremely Conductive .0009 ohms/cm Most Expensive
Silver Coated Aluminum Super Conductive .003 ohms/cm More Expensive
Silver Coated Copper Super Conductive .001 ohms/cm Expensive
Silver Coated Glass Very Conductive .006 ohms/cm Less Expensive
*Nickel Coated Graphite Conductive .01 ohms/cm Least Expensive*
