Open Cell Polyurethane Foam

At Atlantic Gasket Corporation, we manufacture a variety of products from two types of flexible Open Cell Polyurethane foam: polyester-based and polyether-based. Such products can be found in any of the following industries/applications: acoustical, aerospace, appliance, automotive, filtration, industrial, gaskets and seals, marine, military, foam tapes, dust seals, speaker surrounds, and more. Regardless of the end-product, we have comprehensive engineering and design, tooling, waterjet cutting, die-cutting and fabrication, laminating, and slitting capabilities that allow our skilled production staff to meet customer tolerance specifications and high quality standards.

Type of Polyurethane Product Dimensions Product Specifications
Polyether-based Polyether Polyurethane can be supplied in sheets 1/8” thick up to 10” thick x 54” wide up to 120” long. Rolls can be supplied as thin as .025” thick up to 3” thick, 54” wide x a continuous length with or without an adhesive backing on one or both sides. Polyether polyurethane foam is available in densities from 1.2 pcf. to 6 pcf.
Styles: TFO, TFO2, and M2946
Polyester-based Polyester Polyurethane can be supplied in sheets 1/8” thick up to 10” thick x 54” wide up to 120” long. Rolls can be supplied as thin as .060” thick up to 3” thick, 54” wide x 100’ long with or without an adhesive backing on one or both sides. Polyester polyurethane foam is available in densities from 2 pcf. to 6 pcf.

Is Open Cell Polyurethane foam suitable for your application? Read on to find out or contact us directly.
  • Does your end application involve exposure to moisture and outdoor elements? If so, Polyether Polyurethane, a more cost-effective alternative to Polyester Polyurethane, may be a viable material choice. Anti-microbial and biocide additives are available to resist the growth of mold and mildew and for other specialty applications, low permeability and UL-listed foams are available.
  • Does your end application require compatibility to industry specifications? If so, Atlantic Gasket can supply Open Cell Polyurethane that meets military specification Mil-P-26514F, as well as many GM, Delphi, and Toyota automotive specifications.
