Typical Properties of Style AG-LCS-M Closed Cell Low Compression Medium Density Silicone Sponge

AG-LCS-M is a low compression set, medium density closed cell silicone sponge which is designed for gasket applications requiring extraordinary resistance to compression set, extreme low and/or high temperatures, and provides excellent compressibility. The medium density silicone sponge has a closed cell structure which prevents water absorption of less than 5% per ASTM D471 and has a smooth surface finish allowing for better sealing and the ability to apply an adhesive. AG-LCS-M is formulated to be capable to meet AMS3195, MIL-R-46089 superseded by ASTM D1056, and MIL-R-6130C superseded by ASTM D6576 Type II. Atlantic Gasket’s AG-LCS-M low compression set silicone sponge endures a temperature range of -100°F (-73°C) to 500°F (260°C) and also has excellent resistance to oxidation, UV, ozone, and weathering.

AG-LCS-M low compression set, medium density silicone sponge, offered by Atlantic Gasket, comes in a variety of widths, thicknesses, and colors (red or grey). Our silicone sponge is also available in soft density (AGSISOFT), medium density (AGSIMEDIUM), firm density (AGSIFIRM), and flame-retardant options (AGSIFIRES, AGSIFIREM, and AGSIFIREF) along with widths of up to 36" and thicknesses from .062" to .500". AG-LCS-M has the ability to have a pressure sensitive adhesive laminated to this silicone sponge, and Atlantic Gasket can slit it to widths as narrow as ¼" or as wide as 36". The silicone sponge can be cut to size for custom parts either using our high-speed die-cutting process or our high-precision waterjet-cutting machine for production quantities and/or prototype requirements.
