Typical Properties of Style AGSISOFT Closed Cell Soft Density Silicone Sponge

AGSISOFT is a soft density closed cell silicone sponge which is designed for gasket applications requiring a low compression set and has a resistance to extreme temperatures.  The soft density silicone sponge has a closed cell structure which prevents water absorption of less than 3% per ASTM D1056 and has a smooth surface finish allowing for better sealing and the ability to apply an adhesive.  AGSISOFT is formulated per ASTM D6576 Type II, ASTM D1056, MIL-R-46089, MIL-R-6130 Type II, FDA, UL94 V-0, and UL94 HB.  Atlantic Gasket’s AGSISOFT silicone sponge endures a temperature range of -76°F (-60°C) to 450°F (232°C) and also has excellent resistance to oxidation, UV, ozone, and weathering.

AGSISOFT soft density silicone sponge, offered by Atlantic Gasket, comes in a variety of widths, thicknesses, and colors (red, white, grey, and black). This silicone sponge is also available in medium density (AGSIMED), firm density (AGSIFIRM), and flame retardant option (AGSIFIRES, AGSIFIREM, and AGSIFIREF) along with widths of up to 36" and thicknesses from .062" to 1.187". AGSISOFT has the ability to have a pressure sensitive adhesive laminated to this silicone sponge, and Atlantic Gasket can slit it to widths as narrow as ¼" or as wide as 36". The silicone sponge can be cut to size for custom parts either using our high-speed die-cutting process or our high-precision waterjet-cutting machine for production quantities and/or prototype requirements.
