Description: Style AG1396 is a medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant closed cell silicone sponge material designed for use in gasketing applications that require a soft compressible material. Style AG1396 is UV and ozone resistant and takes a low compression set. In addition to having a high tensile strength, medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant closed cell silicone sponge offers resistance to low and high temperatures and provides users with a service temperature of -103°F to +450°F. A flame retardant and highly compressible material, the fiberglass gives this silicone sponge material dimensional stability, which is useful when cutting close tolerance parts.
Atlantic Gasket’s closed cell silicone sponge gasketing material is available in a wide range of densities from soft (AG1346-S) to extra-firm (AG1346-XF) with varying densities and formulations available in between. Medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant silicone closed cell sponge can be converted into rolls ranging from 1/4" wide up to 36" in width. Available in dark blue (standard) or grey in color, the surface of Style AG1396 has a fine fabric finish on both sides and can be manufactured in rolls or sheets with a thicknesses range from as thin as 1/32", to as thick as 1/2". Atlantic Gasket has the ability to supply medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant closed cell silicone sponge without adhesive or choose from either our standard acrylic adhesive or our high-temperature acrylic adhesive. Atlantic Gasket has the capacity to die-cut or waterjet cut medium density fiberglass reinforced flame retardant silicone closed cell sponge to meet your exact prototype and production requirements.
