Product Specifications
Style TFO Polyether Polyurethane Open Cell Foam

Description: TFO is an open cell polyether polyurethane foam. This open cell sponge is often referred to as poly foam and has a wide range of uses. TFO and its family have been specially developed for airborne sound absorption. Its cell structure absorbs and transforms sound waves into heat through vibration, permanently lowering the noise. This foam has a uniform cell structure. TFO meets the FMVSS-302 Flammability rating, and the UL 94 HF1 flame rating.

These attributes allow TFO to be used in many applications such as automotive panels, industrial machinery, HVAC ducts, marine sound attenuation, and household appliances. TFO is also used in gasketing applications as a dust seal or as a vibration/rattle seal for access panels or doors.

TFO has an Indentation Force Deflection @ 25% of 35 lbs./50 in² making it a soft-medium range polyurethane foam. Other grades can be softer or firmer, depending on application. All polyurethane open cell foam products can be supplied with or without adhesive backing in full rolls up to 60" wide, or slit rolls as narrow as ¼". We can also die cut or waterjet cut parts to your exact specifications.
