Description: W-1636 is visco-elastic, or slow recovery open cell polyurethane foam. This open cell sponge is often referred to as memory foam. W-1636 and its family have been specially developed for cushioning and even pressure distribution. This foam has a very low compression set, excellent shock absorption, slow compression recovery and uniform cell structure. W-1636 meets the FMVSS-302 Flammability rating, and has a temperature range of -67° F to 250° F, allowing it to be used in automotive applications.
W-1636’s excellent compression set characteristics and slow recovery allow it to be used in many applications such as automotive, orthopedic goods, occupational seating, medical and safety equipment.
W-1636 has a compression force deflection @ 25% of .45 psi. Other grades can be softer or firmer, depending on application. All slow recovery cellular urethane products can be supplied with or without adhesive backing in full rolls up to 60" wide, or slit rolls as narrow as ¼". We can also die cut or waterjet cut parts to your exact specifications.
